Mean Girls

What are you final thoughts on the film?

  1. The movie was enjoyable. It accurately showed the peer pressure put on students in high school. The main character, Cady, was pushed to do things that she normally wouldnt want to do in order to become accepted among her classmates. Cady even turned into what she first viewed as horrible. This change in attitude shows the power of peer pressure and what it can do to people.

  2. The movie was very entertaining and humorus to me. It really showed that the bullies or the popular people target the "freshmeat" so they can brake them down and lower their self worth. Throughout the movie, Cady we saw the power of peer pressure turn the quiet, shy homeschooled girl into a narcissistic, arrogant bully or what the movie would call her a "plastic".

  3. I thought that the movie was very good. I think it accurately portrayed how high school is and the different social groups that are in school. The movie had the right amount of both humor and seriousness to help viewers learn a lesson about peer pressure, but enjoy it so that it is a film they want to watch. Cady was in a new envirmonment and just wanted to fit in, so she did things that she wasnt proud of. But in the end she fixed everything and it shows that even if you mess up, things can alwasy be fixed

  4. This movie did a great job of showing how peer pressure can influence people greatly. Cady was a very smart sweet girl who enjoyed math but trying to fit in with the plastics and trying to get a boy's attention made her dumb herself down. Eventually, even though she was pretending to be friends with the plastics, she unconsiously turned into one of them eventually neglecting her real friends. This is an example of what can happen in a real teenagers life. at the end, she had to pay for her consequences which was good and then eventually she went back to her normal self and went back to her friends while still being aquantances with the former plastic girls. I thought it was funny and ironic how at the end they showed the new junior plastic girls walking by.
