Whats your personal opinion about teenagers using their cellphones while driving?

  1. I think that teenagers, or anyone for that matter using their cell phone while driving is actually ridiculous. You are putting yourself and everyone around you in danger. The minute you look down at that phone, you dont know what is happening in front of you. Calling somone is a different argument, because at least when you are talking to someone on the phone you can still keep your eyes on the road. Texting at a stoplight isnt an issue because you are stopped, and dont have as much risk. A text to your friend about something that isnt important can wait, because it can save your life and someone elses.

  2. Teenagers should not be using their cell phones while driving. Even using ones phone while driving is extremely dangerous behavior. Many people have died while using a phone while driving a car. So I feel that teenagers should not be using their cell phone while driving at all. Even if it’s just a quick call or text, the possible danger from this behavior strongly outweigh any good thing that could come out of it. Some researchers even say that cell phone usage while driving is comparable to driving drunk. The driver’s attention is not focused on the road, which could lead to deadly consequences.

  3. I think that texting and driving should be avoided but for most teenagers the saying is easier said then done. Since a phone is so easy to grab and always near the teen, they have developed a habit of always having to check the phone, even for no reason. Although this fact is true, i believe that teenagers should try their hardest to restrain themselves from looking at their phone. Obviously teenagers are not going to listen to the rules all the time. The only way that I believe this rule will work is if somehow phones will not turn on while a car is in movement, but this invention is unrealistic right now. I think that teenagers should really consider the consequences of an accident, death, or jail, if they absolutely have to use their phone while driving. A safe alternative would be either pulling over, or if really necessary checking the phone at a red light if the urge is so bad they can not wait.

  4. Most of us spend the majority of of time online or on our cellphones, I think we should make the "important" call or text before we start driving before we kill ourselves or someone elses life even the statistics shows that teenagers are most likely to cause an accident within six months after they have gotten their license. my friend has gotten into an accident because the girl was texing and driving luckily, either of them were injured or killed. I know that we live in the world of technolgy but you dont have to risk your life because your friend had just gotten a new puppy.
